Blue Pearl Energy strengthens its presence in the health sector with the integration of Cogéclim to its energy services platform

Press release

The Cogéclim group adds its deep bench of HVAC engineering expertise to Blue Pearl Energy, a European network of SMEs specialised in the delivery of complete energy efficiency solutions. Strong synergies are expected in the health sector, one of Cogéclim’s focus areas, and a sector in which Blue Pearl Energy is already active. The significant size of Cogéclim enables Blue Pearl Energy to increase its turnover from €100 million to €135 million, while consolidating its footprint in the greater Paris area.

Cogéclim is a specialist in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and air treatment installations. This group of 100 employees has experienced rapid development through the establishment of various highly specialised subsidiaries (electrical solutions applied to climate engineering, energy efficiency for heating and air conditioning, etc.). Today, Cogéclim is the 5th HVAC company to join Blue Pearl Energy’s network of SMEs.

This integration within Blue Pearl’s European B2B energy services platform opens up new opportunities for synergies to service the health sector. “The Cogéclim group is recognized for its ability to provide high value-added solutions that meet the technical requirements of healthcare facilities. Our teams of HVAC engineers and technicians are specially trained to carry out work on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, air treatment and smoke extraction in medical environments.”, points out André Maury, founder and Chairman of the Cogéclim group. This is a perfect fit for Blue Pearl Energy, which is already engaged in numerous projects for hospitals and nursing homes, through the intermediary of its network of specialized SMEs.

The partnership between Blue Pearl Energy and Cogéclim is of particular relevance in this sector, which faces significant energy transition challenges. Healthcare establishments must meet the latest regulations, which require operators of buildings for tertiary use exceeding 1,000 m² to undertake significant reductions in energy consumption. They must also anticipate the European regulations FGas, which gradually bans refrigerants that have a negative impact on global warming. Finally, they are confronted, like everyone else, to booming energy prices.”, analyses Eric de Seguins Pazzis, co-founder and CEO of Blue Pearl Energy.

The advantages of this partnership are also geographical. Cogéclim carries out the bulk of its operations in the greater Paris area, where Blue Pearl Energy is already present through its company Alcad. Cogéclim also operates in the rest of France, as well as in several other segments of the tertiary and industrial sectors, enabling Blue Pearl Energy to better meet the needs of its customers throughout the country.

From an operational point of view, the Cogéclim group will be able to maintain its entrepreneurial spirit while benefiting from the support of a large network. The Blue Pearl project aims to bring together complementary SMEs in energy services while preserving their operational autonomy. The owners and managers of the acquired companies continue to manage their local entities while helping to create synergies within the platform.

Blue Pearl Energy provides its SMEs with superior communication and commercial capabilities, as well as access to significant financing capacity. It is indeed backed by an infrastructure fund managed by DWS, which allows Blue Pearl to finance equipment on behalf of clients.

With the arrival of Cogéclim, Blue Pearl Energy now has eight European energy service companies, including four in France (with Alcad, Ventimeca, and Climacool).

In total, Blue Pearl Energy plans to invest 600 million euros by 2025 to acquire around twenty SMEs in Europe specializing in B2B energy services. Its objective is to create an alternative player to the large groups that dominate the sector, by bringing together complementary SMEs inside a powerful network.
