05 Apr 2022Blue Pearl Energy continues its rapid growth in the French B2B energy services market. It has just integrated into its network of specialized SMEs the FCT group, a recognized expert in commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC engineering. With this new acquisition, Blue Pearl Energy is accelerating its development in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector and is further strengthening its position in France, where this is its 6th equity investment in less than two years.
The FCT group has developed significant experience in France as well as in Reunion Island and Algeria. Its team designs, installs and maintains refrigeration equipment. “Whether in commercial refrigeration for French supermarkets, in industrial refrigeration for logistics centers, and other key industries, or in the field of air conditioning, we are committed to meet our customer’s needs, particularly on the pressing energy and environmental issues for which we are fully geared up.”, explains Nicolas Magaud, President of FCT.
By joining the Blue Pearl Energy B2B energy services platform, FCT strengthens the refrigeration skills within the network. In 2021, Blue Pearl Energy had already acquired Refreco, one of the main players in industrial and commercial refrigeration in Belgium.
“Our European platform is already active in the field of commercial refrigeration, which makes its association with FCT particularly effective to meet our client’s challenges. Our customers must undertake significant energy-saving work to meet the latest French regulations. They must also adapt to European F-Gas regulations, which require the replacement of refrigerants that contribute to global warming. Since refrigeration installations consume a lot of electricity, they must also find rapid and effective solutions to hedge against the rising cost of electricity.”, analyses Eric de Seguins Pazzis, co-founder and CEO of Blue Pearl Energy.
The FCT group is also a recognized player for its expertise in HVAC engineering. It has deployed large-scale air conditioning systems for organisations throughout France. FCT is the 6th HVAC specialist to join Blue Pearl Energy, thus consolidating the platform’s capabilities in this area.
The arrival of the FCT group will increase Blue Pearl’s footprint in several major French regions, where FCT has well-established agencies. In addition, FCT has opened two agencies in Algiers, with many customers in Algeria but also in Tunisia and Morocco. FCT thus has the capacity to operate in several high-potential geographic areas, enabling Blue Pearl Energy to better meet the expectations of its customers in these locations.
