Climacool joins the Blue Pearl Energy service platform to boost its growth

Press release

Climacool, a Lyon-based company specialized in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) for industrial, commercial and public organisations, announced today that it has joined Blue Pearl Energy, an innovative European B2B energy services platform. Launched in 2020, Blue Pearl Energy integrates complementary small and medium sized companies (SMEs) from the energy services sector within a powerful network. The platform enables them to accelerate their growth and supports their development in new markets. Climacool is the fifth SME to join the Blue Pearl platform, and the second in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, strengthening Blue Pearl’s presence in this region.

Our ambition is to be the partner of choice for our customers and to accompany them through their energy transition. By bringing together complementary SMEs, the Blue Pearl platform can offer complete and competitive energy solutions,” explained Eric de Seguins Pazzis, Co-Founder and CEO of Blue Pearl. “Climacool is fully aligned with our vision. Thanks to their experienced in-house engineering team, the company is able to support their clients at every stage of their project, from design through construction, to commissioning and then maintenance. With the support of our platform, the company will be able to scale-up and take advantage of the new business opportunities offered by the energy transition.”

Sandro Ruffato, Chairman and CEO of Climacool, outlined the benefits of this partnership: “Our industry faces two key challenges; to meet the expectations of greater personal comfort and well-being on the one hand, while at the same time reducing the impact of HVAC systems on the environment on the other. Our ambition is to develop these actions for the construction and renovation of service buildings such as offices, nursing homes, schools, and hotels, to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and environmental footprint. Thanks to the Blue Pearl platform and its commercial support, Climacool will be able to access new customer segments which seek ambitious, full-service solutions.”

With the financial support of an infrastructure fund, the Blue Pearl project is underpinned by the acquisition of a majority shareholding in the companies that integrate its network. The owners and managers of the acquired businesses continue to manage their company independently and serve their customers, while actively contributing to the development of the Blue Pearl transformation project. Climacool is the fifth European SME to join the platform in less than a year, and the third French company following Alcad, and Ventimeca.

With this new partnership, Blue Pearl continues to strengthen its position as a new, influential player in energy services, providing an alternative to the few large energy services providers that dominate the market, and capable of offering its customers all the benefits of local expertise, agility, and the strong territorial footprint which characterizes the SMEs in its network.
